Nissan entered into the V8 Supercars Championships and marked the occasion with another testament to their brand ethos of ‘Innovation that excites’ with the launch of the new Nissan Motorsport App created by ZSPACE. Working closely with the digital team at Nissan, ZSPACE created an app to introduce motorsport fans to not only the Nissan Motorsport team but the new Nissan Altima V8 Supercar. This official application called “Nissan Motorsport” launches with an AR (augmented reality) experience where users can interact with a photo-real 3D car. Fans can hold their very own miniature model of the Nissan V8 Altima in their hands, and then take it home to show the family. The experience is triggered by a custom designed VIP lanyard that was handed out to fans at the opening V8 Supercar race in Adelaide, the Clipsal 500. The app also houses the latest news from the Nissan Motorsport team, driver profiles and production specs of the new Nissan Altima with plans for strategic updates throughout the season.
It was a unique way for fans to interact with Nissan, not just on the V8 race track but also at home and in Nissan dealerships. This simple application got consumers excited about Nissan being back in the race, and provides them another portal to connect with the brand throughout the year.
